DYSMANTLEMAP
Privacy policy
This policy describes data use on Dysmantlemap. You do not need a site account to use the maps or guides. The site uses browser storage for its features and third-party services for hosting, analytics and advertising.
Progress and browser storage
Language preferences, visited locations and completed checkpoints are stored locally in your browser. Recent route points are kept in session storage so a refresh can restore them. Navigation data may be cached in IndexedDB. You can reset progress in the site or remove site data in your browser; doing so can remove saved progress and preferences.
Analytics and technical requests
Google Analytics measures page visits and interactions such as map changes and route calculations. Measurements can include the page URL, device and browser information, map and quest identifiers, route status, timing and software versions. Route diagnostics can include selected in-game coordinates, waypoints and floor information; these are game positions, not your physical location.
Hosting and external asset services receive technical requests, which may include your IP address and browser information. The site is hosted on Cloudflare and some game icons are requested from GitHub Pages. These providers process requests under their own privacy policies. The site does not send your typed search text, email address or raw error stack to its analytics events.
To disable this site’s Google Analytics collection in this browser, open a site page with ?analytics=off. Use ?analytics=on to restore it. This setting does not control advertising cookies or the hosting provider’s request logs.
Google advertising and cookies
The site includes Google AdSense code. When ads are served, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s ad settings. Other third-party ad vendors or networks may also use cookies when serving ads; their practices and available opt-outs are explained by the providers. The links below include Google’s explanation of partner-site data use and an industry opt-out service for participating vendors.
Where consent is required, advertising must follow the choices collected through an applicable consent message. If a consent message is displayed, use its controls to accept, reject or manage the available options. You can also manage cookies through your browser; blocking cookies may affect some services.
Email feedback and privacy requests
Contact links open a draft in your email app; nothing is sent until you send it. If you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to include and use it to handle your request. Do not send passwords, account tokens or private game saves. Contact us if you need help with information you have sent.
